You will always be my friend. I'll truly miss your random text/picture messages. You always made me laugh to the point of fluids coming out of my nose and tears pouring out of my eyes. You made San Diego an amazing adventure in my life and will always be greatful.

Gregory Hayes Sammy!! January 14, 2008

My deepest sympathy goes to the family and friends. Sam will be truly missed.

You were a good friend to talk to, share ideas with, to watch a ball game with. You had such a kind heart. I will never forget you. I thank you for bringing the friends I met through you into my life. They all mean more to me because of you. I miss you Sam!

Patrick Wilson Phase II January 14, 2008

After Wayne got done with you in highschool, it was my turn to experience your friendship as we went through our early twenties, some college, and a lot of growing up together.  We were there for eachother working nights in Carlsbad, moved our shananigans up north to San Luis Obispo, and returned to So. Cal with a vengeance.  We have met some extremely special people in those journeys that are staples in carving us into who we became today - so we really aren't to blame.

Having you in my life made my early years on this planet truly memorable and it was special to have you in my wedding and was truly a surprise to see you again just a few short months ago.

As life usually tends to send us down various paths, it is always memories that keep us all grounded and together.  Our times together will never be forgotten and I was truly blessed to have you as a friend and a confidant.  And as we grew older and moved down those separate paths, seeing you at the ball field only put a smile on my face and took me back to the days or tanning on the roof.  Good times, Good times.

I miss you man......

Where do I begin?

We met over 25 years ago...smashing against each other on the football field. Who know it would be the beginning of a bond that took us through victories and defeats in football, wrestling, and life.

Together went tackled everything together…and to some we were inseparable – like brothers. High School was our time, and we lived it to the fullest. As the saying goes…. A good friend does not ask what did you do last night … they ask – What DID we do last night? We made some great friends. Caught some great waves. Fell in love with the same girls. Got in a few fights together… side-by-side. We were there for each other.

As we grew older, our lives took us down different paths… But we know we would meet up again one day. A day here and there, but all seems so little, now. Although God took you before that day would come… remember - I loved you like a brother then, and I still do today.

Rest in Peace, Sam
